Taunton Rock 'n' Roll Club has been running since May 1997. Tony and Cheryl had always helped with the running of the club, but took it over completely in January 2003.
It is run on a non-profit making basis and its aims are to promote 1950's style music and dancing. Record Hops are held fortnightly on Fridays and there are also live band nights throughout the year.
Rock 'n' Roll dance tuition is provided for beginners before each Record Hop and the club has a growing number of regular students. The club is also very proactive in getting out and about and 'spreading the word' about Rock 'n' Roll and has undertaken various dance demonstrations and provided dance workshops.
