Shepwell Green is run every Monday night from 7pm - 11.30pm by Neil Bladen & Jayne who have recently taken it over from Gerry Richardson. Occasionally there is a band as well as a DJ and the rest of the time there is a record hop with just a DJ. DJs include JD, Mr. Rusty, Spinning Rock Boogie, Aces High and Jukebox Johnny.

It's a medium sized room and dance-floor with a raised stage and plenty of parking at the back. There's lots of rock 'n' roll pictures and clocks around the walls and it's the sort of place you wear your gear. Admission is £6 on a band night and £3 on a record hop.

"Monday, 6th August was our first night with the Wanderers Duo and DJ Aces High. DJ Paul played classic 50s Rock 'n' Roll. We had a good turn our of people and a lively atmosphere to support our first night. Monday, 13th August was a record hop with DJ JD who kept a full floor all night. The following week, 20th August saw DJ Spinning Rock from Nottingham who gave us another good evening to remember. On bank holiday Monday, 27th August, what a good turn out we had for the Heartbeats. They kept a full dance floor all night long and were supported by Jukebox Johnny who also played plenty of classic Rock 'n' Roll numbers.

Coming soon at Shepwell will be the Cobras, Rhythm Aces, Mark Keeley, Revolutionaires and Colin Paul plus many more. Recent bands have included The Heartbeats and the Wanderers Duo.
