March Jive Club runs monthly, on the third Friday of the month. They have a band and resident DJ, the Professor on the decks.
The club was formed over a year ago by local jiving couples who wanted somewhere to practice their dancing. They formed a committee and booked a modern, comfortable hall every Monday night from 7.30pm until 10.30pm to practice dancing and socialise in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
The club has grown substantially over the year and can now support their Friday night dances with live bands. Bands booked for 2007 so far include: The Sundowners, Revolutionaires, Rhythm Aces, Sandy Ford, Class of 58 and Rat Pack.
