David and Elaine Atkins (pictured above) organise the twice monthly 'Jive Nights' at the Wykin & District Social Club.

• Doors (and bar) open from 7.30pm, music played until 11.30pm - admission £3.




• Jive lessons from 7.30 to 8.30pm (£3 - no need to book) with qualified teacher Elaine (Fellow of the International Dance Teachers' Association). Lessons take place at every Jive Night except when we have a band. ,

 

• Top DJs (Dancin' Dave, Wild Woody, Nostalgia, Rockin' Rambler & Spinning Rock Boogie) playing music from the 50s onwards to Jive, Bop and Stroll to continuing on the second and last Friday of the month.

 

The club has recently changed venue to the above address which is easy to find and close to major routes (M69/A5/A47) and has:

• Seating for 130

 

• A good sized dance floor

 

• Licensed bar (excellent prices)
