Hardy Spicers is a very popular Saturday night venue and runs once a month. Admission is usally £7 and doors open at 8pm.

It's a big long room with a good sized wooden sprung dance floor, a bar at one end and the raised stage at the other. They always have a band, sometimes two, plus a DJ so a good night is always guaranteed. It gets very crowded quite early on in the evening so if you want a decent seat you'll need to be an early bird!

They often run theme nights and recent themes have been American Independence Day when the theme was 'American' (obviously) and other themes have been 'Children's Story Book Characters' and 'Fairground'. But you don't need a theme to get dressed up at this club; many people wear fifties rock 'n' roll gear and there is often a clothing stall as well as a record stall in the foyer.

These guys raise a lot of money for Cystic Fibrosis. Every year, towards the end of July they have a charity theme dance with a barbeque the following afternoon which is now a very popular event. Additionally, they have also recently returned from their first overseas Rock 'n' Roll holiday in Tenerife which, by all accounts was very successful.
