This
is a great little club, thriving and friendly, which runs dance classes and
a record hop every Thursday and a monthly band night on a Saturday. The dance
classes/record hops are always held at Begbrook Social Club, Frenchay Park Road,
Stapleton, Bristol whilst the band nights are at various venues around the Bristol
area.
The
Bedbrook Club is the only one I've visited which is a pleasant club with a medium
sized dance area in a large L-shaped room. There's plenty of seating, a small
stage and a well run bar.
Bo-Duddley
is the resident DJ whilst Brenda runs the dance classes.
Admission
to the Thursday nights is £2.50 and bands nights are usually £6.
In
addition to the above, there's also a weekender in Bournemouth, 28th - 30th
September 2007 with the Kingcats plus Glenn Darren & The Krewkats.
